James Caldwell of Middleton boys volleyball has been selected as the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week for the week of November 3 through 9 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 7,196 votes this week, Caldwell received 2,834 votes. Kelley Berk of DSHA girls volleyball finished second with 2,710 total votes. 

Caldwell compiled 16 kills to help the Cardinals defeat Kettle Moraine 3 game to 1 and advance to the State Tournament. 

Middleton (24-7) will face Burlington (16-11) in a State Quarterfinal on Friday at 3 p.m. at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee.
