Splash of the Week: Loyal girls basketball
Loyal girls basketball ended Neillsville's 70-game Cloverbelt Conference winning streak on Friday night. The Greyhounds are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week.
Loyal beat last year's Division 3 runner-up Neillsville 44-31 to end the Warriors conference winning streak. Neillsville's last conference loss came against Owen-Withee on February 23, 2010.
Morgan Reinwand scored a game-high 12 points for the Greyhounds. Missy Benz finished with 10 points, and Karsyn Reuth added 9 points in the win.
Others to score for Loyal included Jaedyn Pieper (4 points), Jaelyn Young (4), Ryleigh Wilke (3), and Devyn Schoonover (2).
The Greyhounds made 22 of 32 free throws in the victory.
Loyal travels to Gilman Tuesday before playing at D5 runner-up Assumption next Tuesday, December 2nd.
