D.C. Everest girls basketball won a pair of games at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout last weekend. The Evergreens are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week. 

D.C. Everest defeated Menomonee Falls 58-37 on Friday night. The Evergreens led 33-14 at halftime before cruising to the victory. 

Northern Michigan recruit Taylor Hodell scored a game-high 21 points for the Evergreens. Senior Makayla Pagel and freshman Taylor Petit each finished with 9 points in the win. 

On Saturday, D.C. Everest beat defending Division 1 Champion Oak Creek 38-23. 

The Evergreens held a 15-12 halftime lead before outscoring the Knights 15-1 in the third quarter. Hodell finished with a game-high 15 points in the win. 

Senior Haley Kroll scored 7 points, including knocking down two threes in the victory. 

Others to score for the Evergreens included, seniors Mackenzie Mathies (5 points), Pagel (4), Hannah Tipple (4), and Katelyn Schmoll (3). 

D.C. Everest (4-0) entered the season ranked No. 8 in the WisSports.net Preseason Rankings.
