Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll

Division 1

Waukesha West jumps to the top spot in the WisSports.net Coaches Poll. The Wolverines continued their strong start to the season by defeating previously unbeaten Mukwonago to move to 5-0. D.C. Everest is also 5-0 and they move up three spots to No. 2 this week.  Milwaukee Riverside moves up three spots to No. 6 after knocking off last week's top-ranked team DSHA who check in at No. 8 this week. De Pere falls No. 5 after falling to Manitowoc Lincoln. Janesville Craig is new to the poll this week, the Cougars are 5-0 after edging cross-town rival Janesville Parker. 

Division 2

The top five spots remain the same as last week in the WisSports.net Coaches Poll with Pius XI in the top spot. Pulaski earned a victory over New London to move to 3-0 and will face Notre Dame tonight who are No. 10 in the rankings this week. The Tritons might have a 1-3 record, but they've played strong competition which includes losses to Pewaukee who is No. 3 and the top-ranked D1 team Waukesha West. New Berlin West is also new to the poll this week and check in at No. 8, giving the Woodland-West four teams in the top 10. 

Division 3

Xavier is the top-ranked team in Division 3 again this week. The Hawks will face a strong test tonight when they host Little Chute. Spots two through four are the same as last week with Dodgeville, Adams-Friendship, and Whitewater. Lakeside Lutheran picked up a 19-point win over a solid Marshall squad last week and moves up two spots to No. 5. 

Division 4

Cuba City is No. 1 in the D4 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. The Cubans defeated Mineral Point 53-40 last Thursday night. Second-ranked Algoma beat Southern Door by 24 points in their only game last week. Aquinas and Kenosha St. Joseph's both moved up one spot this week. Cameron earned an impressive 66-54 win over Regis who was No. 3 last week. The Comets move up to No. 6 while the Ramblers drop to No. 10. 

Division 5

Barneveld is the top-ranked team in Division 5. Assumption is the second-ranked team, followed by Fall River, Loyal, and Owen-Withee. Both Assumption and Fall River have two losses, but both teams have faced strong competition which have resulted in early losses. Clayton joins the rankings this week at No. 10 and Hilbert drops out after losing their third game of the season.
