A pair of familiar logos sit atop their respective divisions in the WSN Cup standings following the Fall Sports season, but a school without a WSN Cup win is atop the third division.

The WSN Cup is an award that honors schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA sponsored sports. The award totals points earned in both boys and girls sports. All WIAA sponsored sports are included as part of the scoring for the award.

In the Large Schools Division (enrollment over 1000 students), seven-time defending champion Arrowhead once again reigns supreme with a dominating lead. The Warhawks not only have the top score in the division and overall, their 550 points is the most ever scored in a single sports season since the award was launched in 2007-08. You only need to go back to last year's Fall Sports campaign to find the previous record of 504. Championships in girls tennis and girls swimming/diving provided the foundation, but Arrowhead also got a runner-up finish from the football team and girls golf, a third-place finish from boys cross country, plus very strong showings from girls cross country, boys volleyball, boys soccer, and girls volleyball. The Warhawks scored points in all nine of the fall WIAA-sanctioned sports. In the Large School Division, Middleton is second with a very strong 304 points, while Kimberly, Marquette, and Eau Claire Memorial round out the top five.

Madison Edgewood and Notre Dame have ruled the Medium Schools Division (enrollment 500-1000), with Edgewood's win last year giving them a 4-3 edge in the seven years the award has been presented. It seems this year will be no different, as the Crusaders of Madison Edgewood are in the lead with 355 points, followed by Notre Dame's 317. Edgewood got a state title from the powerful girls golf team, plus runner-up finishes in girls tennis and girls swimming/diving. Catholic Memorial is third with 287.7 points, followed by Wisconsin Lutheran and McFarland.

After Aquinas won six straight trophies in the Small School Division (enrollment below 500), University School of Milwaukee unseated the Blugolds last season. A new name has emerged on top after the Fall Sports however. Darlington, buoyed by a state title in boys cross country and a runner-up finish in football, has a slight edge with 190 points. Not surprisingly, Aquinas is looking to get back on top, coming in a very close second thus far with 185 points. Lourdes Academy, The Prairie School, and Racine St. Catherine's round out the top five.

Here are the Top Five schools in each division:

Large Schools:

Arrowhead - 550
Middleton - 304

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions. The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000. Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500. In 2007-08 schools with enrollments of 900 or more were in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 were in the small schools division.

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport. Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points. If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points. For Co-op teams the total points are divided based on enrollment of the schools that participate in the co-op team.
