Division 1

Stevens Point remains on top of the D1 Coaches Poll, but Germantown did manage to grab a first place vote, though the Warhawks come in second once again. After previously unbeaten Kimberly went down to Kaukauna in an epic FVA battle, the Papermakers dropped from third to fifth, allowing City Conference schools King and Riverside to move up to third and fourth respectively. Kenosha Indian Trail makes its debut in the rankings this week at #8, while Middleton slides back into the poll at #9.

Division 2

The big news in D2 is certainly the confirmation of Kaukauna as the top team after the Ghosts took down previously undefeated Kimberly. The less noticed storyline though, was 8 of the 10 teams in last week's rankings suffered at least one loss. I'm not sure I've ever seen that many ranked teams in one division go down in one week like that. It did allow one-loss Luxemburg-Casco to shoot up from #7 to #2. Pius, Seymour, and Wisconsin Lutheran round out the top five. Rice Lake re-enters the poll at #6, while Sauk Prairie debuts at #7 and Ashwaubenon moves back in at #8.

Division 3

After a wild week in Week 6, the D3 rankings settled down a bit in Week 7. Kettle Moraine Lutheran remains on top, just ahead of Prescott and Freedom, with Ripon and G-E-T again rounding out the top five. Undefeated Watertown Luther Prep is hanging around at #6. Only defending champ Brown Deer is new to this week's poll, as the Woodland-East leading Falcons are 10th. Southern Door, with a 12-1 record and first place perch in the Packerland Conference, is knocking on the door but just outside the top ten.

Division 4

Dominican took down Racine St. Catherine's last Friday in a Metro Classic rivalry game, but both teams stayed in the same spots in this week's rankings. Dominican is on top of course, while Racine St. Catherine's is 4th, well behind undefeated squads Mineral Point and Regis. Kenosha St. Joseph moves into the poll at #9 after Unity suffered its first loss last week.

Division 5

A late reported loss by Wausaukee over Christmas break finally caught up to them, as the Rangers succumbed the top spot to Randolph. The rest of the top five combined for five losses however: Gresham fell once and dropped one spot from 3rd to 4th, while both Sheboygan Lutheran (ranked 4th last week) and Central Wisconsin Christian (5th) lost twice and dropped out of the poll altogether. Port Edwards, picked first in the preseason by Mark Miller in the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook, dropped an early game but has climbed all the way back up to 3rd this week. Pecatonica, Frederic, and Seneca are all new teams to the rankings this week.
