Name: Shakeela Fowler

School: Milwaukee King

Goals for the season (team and individual)?
Team: State run
Individual: Miss Basketball, continue being a leader on the floor, and rebound more.

Toughest player you've completed against and why?
“When I played with Team Wisconsin (at the Rising Senior Academy) this summer, we played a kid named Darby Maggard from Indiana. She's my height and she's super good. We've been competing since 7th grade. We're good friends, too.”

Who's your biggest rival and why?
“Milwaukee Riverside. They've been the best team other than ourselves in the conference. They always give us a good game and I have club teammates that go there.”

Most influential person in your basketball career and why?
“My parents because of their support system. They help me stay positive about things all the time and help me make good decisions.”

Greatest achievement in your basketball career?
“1,000 points during my junior year. Since the beginning of my junior year, that was my goal.”

Toughest place to play and why?
“Kohl Center as a freshman. The court is so much longer. The other team's crowd was always super pumped. I'd never been in an atmosphere like that.”

What is your favorite thing about high school basketball?
“Meeting so many people and traveling so many places. Playing against good friends.”

What is your most memorable shot you've made in your basketball career?
“Oak Creek freshman year in a sectional final. Right before halftime I made a half court shot. It was crazy.”

What are your college plans?
“Playing basketball at Illinois State. Planning to study Biology.”
