South Shore's Megan Gustafson sets state's single-game and single-season scoring mark

South Shore senior Megan Gustafson scored a state-record 64 points in last night's 73-37 win over Mercer in a Division 5 Regional Semifinal. 

She also set the state's single-season scoring record in the game, passing former South Shore and Wisconsin standout Jolene Anderson who had the previous mark of 956. 

Megan now has 984 points on the season going into tonight's Regional Final against Winter. 

She not only scored 64 points last night, but finished with a triple-double while adding 22 rebounds and 13 blocks. 

Gustafson went 27-for-35 from the field and 10-for-16 from the free throw line in reaching 64 points.

She is signed to play at the University of Iowa for coach Lisa Bluder.
