WSN has learned that the petition advanced by members of the Six Rivers Conference to apply a Free and Reduced Lunch Reducer for divisional placement has received 60 signatures, meeting the requisite 10% of membership, so the proposal will be added to the April WIAA Annual Meeting.

The Success Factor Proposal developed by the Ad Hoc Committee remains on the agenda as well, and both plans could and likely will be voted on at the meeting. That also means that both could pass, and thus both could apply together. The Committee rejected the Reducer for a number of reasons. To view their reasoning for rejecting other proposals, including the Reducer, please click here.

Among those signing the Reducer petition was Benton superintendent Kyle Luedtke, who was a member of the Ad Hoc Committee that produced and supported the Success Factor proposal.

For more information on the Reducer proposal and how it could impact divisional placement, please see our previous article here.

Stay tuned as WSN will have more on this story as it develops.
