Senior Girls Basketball Awards: Wing Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list was trimmed down to 15 semi-finalists, and five finalists for the award have now been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

Senior Girls Basketball Awards -- Wing Finalists

Allazia Blockton, Dominican -- Blockton is a strong wing that is an outstanding scorer. The Marquette recruit is averaging 20.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.7 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. She has 2,111 career points entering tonight Division 4 Sectional Semifinal contest against Kenosha St. Joseph. 

Alyssa Fischer, Manitowoc Lincoln -- Fischer can score the ball in a number ways; off the bounce, mid-range, and from behind the arc. The Milwaukee recruit averaged 18.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game for the Ships. 

Ellie Harmeyer, Shoreland Lutheran -- Harmeyer is a long wing that can scores in the paint as well as from behind the arc. The Belmont recruit averaged 21 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 2 assists per game for the Pacers. She notched a career-high 36 points in a defeat to Martin Luther in February.

Arike Ogunbowale, DSHA -- Ogunbowale is a strong and athletic wing that is a headache for her opponents with her variety of ways to score. She can hit the three, take you off the dribble to the hoop, and stop on a dime and knock down a jumper. The Notre Dame recruit is averaging 27 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 steals per game. She has over 2,000 career points and was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game. DSHA faces Brookfield Central in a Division 1 Sectional Semifinal tonight. 

Amani Wilborn, Milwaukee Riverside -- Wilborn is a quick wing that excels at dribble penetration. The Marquette recruit averaged 18.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.6 steals per game for the Tigers.
