Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list previously was trimmed to 15 semi-finalists, and now five finalists for the award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

Senior Boys Basketball Awards -- Shooter Finalists

Tanner Bruchs, Poynette -- The 6-foot-3 wing guard and NCAA Division II recruit for Bemidji State is averaging 19.9 points per game for a Poynette squad that is 22-2. Bruchs can shoot over smaller defenders with his size and length, and has a quick release from beyond the three-point arc. A four-year varsity performer for the Pumas, Bruchs has scored more than 1,500 points in his prep career and went for a career-best 40 points in a victory over Belleville this season.

Jacob Jurss, Sheboygan Lutheran -- A four-year sharpshooter for the Crusaders, Jurss has helped the Crusaders to four consecutive WIAA Division 5 regional championships. Jurss possesses perhaps the deepest shooting range of any player in the state and is shooting 40 percent from three-point range on nearly 200 attempts. Jurss leads the Crusaders in scoring (23.7 ppg), rebounding (8.4 rpg) and assists (6.3 apg) and has scored more than 1,600 points in his prep career.

Brevin Pritzl, De Pere -- The University of Wisconsin recruit is much more than just a shooter, as he can get to the basket and the foul line with the best of them, but his pure shot from deep is a thing of beauty. Pritzl is averaging 26.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for a De Pere squad that won the Fox River Classic Conference title. He has scored more than 1,700 points during his four years of high school basketball and went for a career-high 44 in a victory over Manitowoc Lincoln this season.

Cody Tomlinson, Washburn -- The 6-foot-2 wing guard from way up north can really play. He is very good off the bounce and is also an excellent shooter from deep. Tomlinson is averaging 25.1 points per game and scored a career-high 37 in a non-league victory over Lakeview Christian of Minnesota this season. Tomlinson was named Player of the Year in the Western Division of the Indianhead Conference after leading Washburn to a 16-0 league record.

Billy Wampler, Regis -- The 6-foot-6 wing player and Drake University recruit scores in bunches and helped Regis to an unbeaten record and the title in the Western Division of the Cloverbelt Conference. Wampler became the all-time leading scorer in Eau Claire city history this season and is closing in on 1,900 points for his four-year career. Wampler is averaging 26.1 ppg as a senior for coach Bill Uelmen and was chosen as the co-Player of the Year in the Cloverbelt West along with Fall Creek's Matt Anderson.
