Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list previously was trimmed to 15 semi-finalists, and now five finalists for the award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

Senior Boys Basketball Awards -- Post Finalists

Brandon Gilbeck, River Valley -- One of the breakout performers of the 2014-15 high school basketball season, Gilbeck has been outstanding all year for River Valley, leading the Blackhawks to a 19-5 record and a spot in the Division 3 sectionals. The 6-foot-11 post player is averaging 17.3 points and 10.4 rebounds after averaging a modest 7.5 ppg as a junior. He scored 27 points in a regional final victory over Dodgeville and had a career-best 29 points in a win over Prairie du Chien.

Matt Heldt, Neenah -- The Marquette University recruit earned Player of the Year honors in the Fox Valley Association for the second year in a row after leading the 10-team conference in both scoring (19.2 ppg) and rebounding (8.8 rpg). Heldt shot 81 percent from the free-throw line as a senior and helped Neenah to a 20-4 record heading into sectionals. He has scored more than 1,400 points during his four-year career and, at 6-foot-10, can finish with either hand in the lane.

Darion King, Racine Case -- A physical presence in the lane for the Eagles, King is a four-year varsity performer for coach Stephen Jaskulske. He had committed to Western Michigan for football, but then opted to re-open his recruitment due to his desire to play college basketball. At a chissled 6-foot-6, King creates space in the lane with his strength and does an excellent job finishing around the basket. He led Case to a share of the Southeast Conference title with Kenosha Indian Trail and Racine Horlick by averaging 17.7 ppg. King has scored more than 1,200 points in his career at Case, which takes a 20-4 record into sectional play.

Nick McGlynn, Stoughton. The Drake University recruit was Mr. Steady for Stoughton, which went 20-4 and won the Southern Division title of the Badger Conference. McGlynn, who went over 1,000 points for his three-year varsity career, averaged 16.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game for coach Matt Hockett. The 6-foot-8 forward netted a career-best 27 points in a  non-league victory over West De Pere and showed the ability to pass well out of double teams in the post.

Diamond Stone, Dominican -- One of the more decorated players in Wisconsin prep basketball history, Stone is a McDonald's All-American who has scored more than 2,000 points in his prep career. A dominating 6-foot-10 post player who is ranked among the top 10 players nationally in the 2015 class, Stone is averaging 24.0 points and 11.8 rebounds per game for Dominican, which takes a 21-3 record into sectional play. Stone played key roles on the Knights' WIAA Division 3 state-title teams in each of the past three seasons, and he is trying to join Randolph's Ryan Tillema as the only players in state history to win four state titles.
