South Shore's Megan Gustafson has been selected as the top senior Post player as part of the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards.

Gustafson is a dominant scoring post player that is all over the state's record book.

For the second time in her career, she has reached the state tournament. South Shore also played in a Division 5 State Semi-Final when Megan was a sophomore.

The Iowa recruit owns state records for points in a career (3,199), points in a single season (1,097), and points in a game (64).

Gustafson, a 6-foot-3 forward, is averaging 40.6 points, 19 rebounds, and 6.5 blocks per game for coach Ryan Tiberg and the Cardinals.

Megan broke the state's all-time scoring mark in their win over Chequamegon on February 16. She broke the state's single-game and single-season scoring record in the Cardinals win over Mercer in a Regional Semi-Final on February 27.

South Shore plays Assumption in a Division 5 State Semi-Final on Thursday afternoon at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

Finalists for the award were Gustafson, D.C. Everest's Taylor Hodell, Waukesha North's Jessica Kelliher, Adam-Friendship's Emma Roenneburg, and Sheboygan North's Madison Wolf.

Past winners of the award include Jessica Lindstrom of Superior (2014), Breanna Lewis of Milwaukee Riverside (2013), and Heather Bowe of Regis (2012).
