DSHA's Arike Ogunbowale has been selected as the top senior Wing player as part of the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards

Ogunbowale is a strong and athletic wing that is a headache for her opponents with her variety of ways to score. She can hit the three, take you off the dribble to the hoop, and stop on a dime and knock down a jumper.

The 5-foot-9 wing is averaging 26.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.5 steals per game for coach Jeff Worzella and the Dashers.

Arike has over 2,000 career points and was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game.

The Notre Dame recruit scored a career-high 41 points in the Dashers 67-52 win over Milwauke Riverside in a Division 1 Regional Final.

DSHA faces Middleton in a Division 1 State Semi-Final on Friday evening.

Finalists for the award were Ogunbowale, Dominican's Allazia Blockton, Manitowoc Lincoln's Alyssa Fischer, Shoreland Lutheran's Ellie Harmeyer, and Milwaukee Riverside's Amani Wilborn.

Past winners of the award include Maya Jonas of Whitefish Bay (2014), Samantha Terry of Baraboo (2013), and Brittney Fair of Nicolet (2012).

WSN Senior Basketball Awards are selected by WisSports.net staff.
