Sophomore Riley Geiger of Loyal won the inaugural WIAA Boys 3-Point Challenge at the Kohl Center in Madison on Saturday morning.

10 participants were selected for the event based on stats information entered by coaches into the WisSports.net database. The top two three-point shooters (minimum 75 attempts) from each division were chosen to participate.

It was an incredible display by the participants, including Geiger, who hit 20 in the first round, 17 in the semi-finals, and 20 in the finals. He defeated Oshkosh North sophomore Phillip Flory in the finals, as Flory saw three moneyballs rim out and finished with 16. Jake Hierlmeier of Glenwood City and Tanner Bruchs of Poynette were also semi-finalists.

Other competitors included Blake Johnson of Oshkosh West, Cole McDonald of Darlington, Christian Haffner of Gresham, William Brown of Delavan-Darien, Logan Maulick of Freedom, and Bailey Kale of La Crosse Central.
