Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of March 16-22. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: March 16-22

Lewrenzo Byers, Brown Deer boys basketball, led the Falcons to their second-straight Division 3 state title by scoring 18 points, while also contributing 4 assists and 2 steals in their 74-60 win over Xavier in the title game. In the Falcons 62-50 win over Prescott in a semi-final, Byers finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. 

Sam Hauser, Stevens Point boys basketball, finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 3 steals, including all 16 of the Panthers points in the first quarter to lead them to the Division 1 state championship with their 67-51 win over three-time defending champion Germantown. In the Panthers 63-39 win over West Allis Central in state semi-finals, Hauser compiled 19 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. 

Tiwon Jones, Young Coggs Prep boys basketball, finished with 24 points and 6 steals in the Eagles 56-50 win over Hillsboro in the Division 5 title game. In their 59-48 win over Washburn in semi-finals, Jones scored 29 points and added 3 steals. Tiwon went 22-for-29 from the free throw line in the two victories. 

Max Meylor, Mount Horeb boys basketball, scored a game-high 21 points and added 5 steals and 4 assists to lead the Vikings to the Division 2 state title with a 58-46 win against Rice Lake in the championship game. In their 65-53 win against West De Pere in a semi-final, Meylor finished with a team-high 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. 

Diamond Stone, Dominican boys basketball, led the Knights to their to their fourth-straight Division 4 state championship on Saturday and was named Co-Mr. Basketball along with Rice Lake's Henry Ellenson on Friday. Stone finished with 23 points, 15 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 assists in their 75-49 win over Mineral Point in the title game. In the Knights 93-54 win over Regis in a semi-final, Stone compiled 33 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 assists.
