The WSN Cup is an award that honors schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA sponsored sports. The award totals points earned in both boys and girls sports. All WIAA sponsored sports are included as part of the scoring for the award.

In the Large Schools Division (enrollment over 1000 students), it comes as no surprise that seven-time defending champion Arrowhead continues to roll. Coming off a record performance during fall sports, the Warhawks were strong once again in the winter season. The gymnastics team won a state title, while the girls basketball team made it back to state once again. Cedarburg actually posted the highest winter point total with 282.6 (compared to 223.33 for Arrowhead), as the Bulldogs were the only school in any division to score points in all seven winter sports. In the season Large School standings, Cedarburg moved into second behind Arrowhead, followed by Middleton, Stevens Point, and Kimberly.

The Medium Schools Division (enrollment 500-999 students), Madison Edgewood retains the top spot overall, as the defending champions have a 70 point lead on second-place Whitefish Bay. Notre Dame, who has won the Medium Schools trophy three times, is lurking in third. Edgewood did not have a particularly strong winter season, scoring just 84.33 points (15th among Medium Schools), but their dominating fall performance has kept them in front. Mount Horeb, with state titles in boys basketball and gymnastics, posted the top winter total of 205 points and the Vikings are now in fourth in the season standings.

The Small Schools Division (enrollment below 500) was ruled by Aquinas for the first six year, but the Blugolds slipped badly in 2013-14, as University School of Milwaukee won the trophy. Aquinas was back on top after the fall season, and remains so following the winter sports. The Blugolds scored just 56.9 points during the winter, but it's enough to keep them just ahead of Saint Mary's Springs, Regis, Marathon, and Lourdes Academy. Dominican had the highest winter sports total, thanks in large part to 100 points from the boys basketball team, which won a fourth consecutive Division 4 championship.

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions. The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000. Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500. In 2007-08 schools with enrollments of 900 or more were in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 were in the small schools division.

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport. Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points. If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points. For Co-op teams the total points are divided based on enrollment of the schools that participate in the co-op team.
