Kimberly and Oshkosh North entered Thursday night's FVA baseball showdown tied atop the league standings, as Kimberly was looking to get revenge for an earlier loss to the Spartans.
The teams got outstanding pitching performances, as they finished the 7 regulation innings knotted at 0. Each team put 3 runs across in the 8th, and it remained that way until the 14th. Oshkosh North plated a run in the top half of the inning, but Kimberly rallied to push one across in the bottom half on an infield hit by Isaac Melanson.
Later in the inning, with two outs and two men on base, Brice Swick stepped to the plate. The senior socked a drive to left field that cleared the fence and sent Kimberly home with a 7-4 victory in dramatic walk-off fashion.
