Inside the Top Five

Bay Port moves into our No. 1 spot after Arrowhead dropped a game this week. Bay Port is undefeated in Wisconsin and had a win over No. 23 Green Bay Preble last week. Along with Janesville Craig who moved up to No. 2, they are currently the top two teams in Wisconsin. Craig is now 16-0 and beat No. 21 Beloit Memorial last week.

Arrowhead drops to No. 3 after a 2-1 loss to Indian Trail in one of the better games of the year. With area scout Matt Huck in attendance it was clear that both teams have everything it takes to be fighting for a trophy in June.

Denmark also dropped their first contest of year, earning a split with No. 12 West De Pere this week. Denmark stayed at No. 4 with a 16-1 record.

At No. 5 Kimberly moved into the top five after a win over then No. 5 Oshkosh North.

New and Climbing

Kenosha Trail had a big week beating No. 1 ranked Arrowhead 2-1. The win moves Indian Trail up to No. 9 and speaks to the strength of the Southeastern Conference. The Hawks have had a bit of a yo-yo type year in the Power 25 but along with Tremper and Bradford, the Southeastern Conference deserves a lot more respect.

Hortonville got back on track with a 3-2 win over Appleton North last week, going 3-0 on the week and back into the Power 25 at No. 24.

Freedom also got back into the Power 25 at No. 25 improving to 14-3 on the year.

Down and Out

Lake Country Lutheran suffered their first lost in 43 games. The Lightning lost to Milwaukee Lutheran on Saturday and have dropped to No. 16 in the Power 25.

Dropping out of the Power 25, Stevens Point had a rough week losing three games, including a double header to La Crosse Central and Waupaca.
