Claire Ryan of Union Grove softball has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of May 11 through 16 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 6,208 votes this week with Ryan receiving 3,592 of them. Tierney Lindner of Sun Prairie girls' track & field finished second with 1,711 votes. 

Ryan went 6-for-11 with 2 home runs and 8 RBI to help the Broncos win the Chippewa Falls Invite on Saturday. Claire's breakout game came against 4th ranked Chippewa Falls when she blasted two home runs and finished with 6 RBI in their 12-2 win. 

For the season, Ryan is hitting .543 with 10 home runs and 38 RBI for the Broncos, ranked No. 3 in the latest WFSCA/WisSports.net Coaches Poll.
