Chippewa Falls' Karleen McElroy has been selected as the top senior outfielder as part of the WSN Senior Softball Awards.
McElroy hit .416 with 2 home runs, 23 RBI, and 23 runs scored through 25 games this season for the Cardinals.
She also has 9 doubles, 2 triples, and 51 total bases, while posting a .662 slugging percentage batting third for the Cardinals who reached the Division 1 State Tournament.
Last season, McElroy earned First Team WFCA All-State and First Team All-Big Rivers. She was named Second Team All-Big Rivers as a sophomore.
Karleen has helped the Cardinals' to a 23-4 overall record and 12-0 record in the Big Rivers. They were ranked No. 4 in the final WFSCA Coaches Poll.
Chippewa Falls plays Westosha Central in a Division 1 state quarterfinal on Thursday at 1:30 pm at Goodman Diamond in Madison.
Finalists for the award were McElroy, Jenna Jacobson of River Valley, Abby Leinfelder of La Crosse Logan, Elizabeth Schreiber of Elk Mound, and Sami Kay Shafranski of Pacelli.
Ashwaubenon's Sam Crowley won the award last season.
