Jefferson's Nick Schrader has been selected as the top senior Infielder/Catcher as part of the WSN senior Baseball Awards.

Schrader is a four-year varsity standout for the Eagles and head coach Greg Fetherston, owning numerous school records, including career marks in hits, runs, triples, doubles, RBI, and stolen bases.

Playing shortstop, he helped the team to a Division 2 state title last year and Sectional Semi-Final appearance this season. In 81 at-bats as a senior, he produced 16 extra-base hits, with 29 RBI and 28 runs scored. He batted .432, which is slightly above his career mark of .400.

Schrader also went 6-1 on the mound for Jefferson and was named the Rock Valley-North Player of the Year.

Finalists for the award were Schrader, Joe Baier of Bay Port, Cade Bunnell of Stoughton, Kian O'Brien of Madison La Follette, Rudy Rott of Aquinas, and Pete Schuler of Kenosha St. Joseph.

Past winners of the award include Prescott's Billy Brookshaw (2012), Bay Port's Drew Neuville (2013), and Marshfield's Daulton Varsho (2014).
