WBCA announces Spring Baseball All-State Teams and Award Information

The Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association has announced its 2015 Spring Baseball All-State Teams and Award Information.

Athens outfielder Shane Coker, Aquinas catcher/pitcher Rudy Rott, and Oconomowoc pitcher Logan Wonn were selected as co-Players of the Year by the WBCA.

Three juniors were members of the First Team, including Verona catcher Ben Rortvedt, Kenosha Indian Trail infielder Gavin Lux, and Arrowhead outfielder Johnny Duranso. The Indian Trail duo of Lux and outfielder Jared Hoerter were the only teammates on the First Team, while Arrowhead had Duranso on the First Team and pitcher Jack Bredeson and catcher Mike Bauer on the Second Team list.

Despite claiming the Division 1 state title, Janesville Craig had no players on the First, Second, or Third Team All-State lists. Division 2 champ Milwaukee Lutheran placed junior outfielder Nick Winter on the Second Team, D3 winners Lake Country Lutheran had a pair of Second Team choices in C.J. Teske and Ben Wilkins, while D4 champ Rio had no players selected.
