Division 1:  Defending champion Kimberly edged out Arrowhead once again, receiving 492 of 1101 votes.
Division 2:  The voting was very even amongst several teams, but perennial power Homestead received the most, with 217 of 1072 votes cast.
Division 3:  Catholic Memorial was one of six teams to get at least 97 votes, and the Crusaders were pegged as the favorites with 271 of a possible 1030.
Division 4:  Its never a surprise for Somerset to do well, and the defending champions were picked the fans to repeat in 2015, receiving 249 of 905 votes.
Division 5:  It was close between Amherst, Lancaster, and Stanley-Boyd, but it was the Orioles of Stanley-Boyd that got the most votes with 303 of the 1079 cast.
Division 6:  Defending champion Saint Mary's Springs is the heavy favorite according to the fans, garnering 368 of 855 votes.
Division 7:  Catholic Central grabbed 247 of the 930 votes as the favorites in D7.

Thanks to all who participated and in just over 3 months we'll find out if you were right!

Happy football everyone! Today teams begin practice around the state, with every group sharing a similar goal:  hoist a goal ball as state champion.

As the season gets underway, it's time for you, the fans, to vote for who you think will win state titles in each of the WIAA's seven divisions. The top ten in each division (sorted alphabetically) of the WisSports.net Off-Season Rankings are included, but those certainly aren't the only ones that could, or will, win championships. If you think it will be someone off the list, sound off in the comments below. We'll leave the voting open through Friday at noon.
