Week 2 Passing Leaders

Delavan-Darien found itself in a bit of a shootout with Big Foot last Friday, but the Comets ultimately had the bigger weapons, including junior quarterback Jake Benzing. He was responsible for all six touchdowns as Delavan-Darien pulled away for a 41-28 victory. For the game, Benzing completed 26 of 33 passes for 402 yards and 4 touchdowns, including 3 first half scores. He also added 16 carries for 80 yards and 2 more touchdowns as the Comets moved to 2-0 on the season.

Week 2 Receiving Leaders

Eau Claire North hasn't made it to the playoffs since 1998, and in a challenging Big Rivers Conference, there are certainly no guarantees, but things are looking up for the Huskies after a 2-0 start. That includes a 53-43 win over La Crosse Logan in Week 2, with North nearly pulling off the rare 300-200-200. Adam LaRock threw for 317 yards, Nick Greenlund rushed for 198, and receiver Lukas Lanner had a state-best 209 receiving yards on just 6 catches, including 4 touchdowns.
