Air National Guard Week 6 Player of the Week Nominees:

Jake Ferguson, Madison Memorial - Ferguson was an outstanding two-way player for the Spartans last year, earning a scholarship offer from Wisconsin following the season. He's managed to be even better this year, including a big-time performance in a 31-28 win over previously undefeated Middleton. Ferguson caught 12 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown, adding 9 tackles on defense. He teamed with quarterback Emmett Enright and fellow receiver Hunter Peters for a big day as the Spartans moved within a game of clinching a playoff spot, and the Big Eight lead.

Matthew McNabb, West De Pere - West De Pere has struggled a bit this year, and sat at just 2-3 overall heading into a Bay Conference showdown with Waupaca. With the passing game largely grounded, the Phantoms turned to McNabb, the son of former Packers player Dexter McNabb. He carried the ball 37 times for 289 yards and 5 touchdowns as West De Pere scored a 33-18 victory.

Max Meylor, Mount Horeb/Barneveld - The Vikings kept their conference title hopes alive by knocking off DeForest 35-14 Friday night, handing the Norkies their first league defeat. Meylor impacted the game in a multitude of ways. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 329 yards and 4 touchdowns, rushed 11 times for 31 yards, and caught a 21-yard touchdown on a double pass throwback to the quarterback. He added 5 punts for a 35 yard average as well.

Jesse Vlasnik, Unity - The Eagles became playoff-eligible thanks to a 47-20 victory over Cameron last Friday, thanks in large part to Vlasnik's exploits all over the field. On just 11 carries, he racked up 320 yards, averaging 29 yards per attempt. He scored 4 touchdowns on the ground, adding a 46-yard touchdown reception as well. He had 9 tackles and 2 interceptions on defense as well.

Tyler Young, Aquinas - It didn't look good for Aquinas in the second quarter of Friday's game against Onalaska, when the Hilltoppers took a 23-6 lead, and later led 30-12 as well. However, Aquinas scored the game's final 24 points to score a 36-30 win over Onalaska, who had been unbeaten in Mississippi Valley Conference play. Young keyed the rally, throwing for 327 yards and 3 touchdowns while completing 17 of 27 passes on the night. He added 53 rushing yards as well.
