Sean Mattek of Sheboygan Falls football has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of September 21 through the 27 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 1,878 votes this week with Mattek receiving 811 votes. Adam Erickson of McDonell/Regis boys' soccer finished second with 338 votes. 

Mattek compiled 240 yards on 23 carries and 4 touchdowns in their 35-6 win over rival Two Rivers on Friday. He also finished with 6 tackles in the victory. The win secures the Falcons' first playoff birth since 2011.
