Air National Guard Level 2 Player of the Week Nominees:

Max Meylor, Mount Horeb/Barneveld - Meylor has put up some huge passing numbers this year, but Friday night he reminded everyone that he can be a big-time threat with his legs as well. He scored three short touchdowns on the ground in the first half and helped the Vikings knock off top-seeded Monona Grove, 34-28. He also had 283 passing yards on 13 of 22 passing. He finished with 19 rushes for 78 yards.

Blair Mulholland, Kimberly - Mulholland has rarely played a full game this year thanks to numerous Kimberly blowouts, and he was able to take the fourth quarter off Friday night in a 48-10 victory over Stevens Point. In less than three full quarters, he rushed 17 times for 274 yards and 4 touchdowns, including a 79-yard run to cap off Kimberly's scoring in the third quarter.

Chris Pouliot, Luck - 8-Man Football can be a bit more wide-open than its 11-man counterpart, but even these numbers are a bit mind-boggling: 25 rushes for 622 yards (24.9 ypc) and 7 touchdowns. That wasn't for a season, or a team. It was the single-game performance by Chris Pouliot of Luck in a 110-64 victory over Abundant Life at the 8-Man Jamboree Friday. That's right, 622 yards. And yes, 110 points by Luck, who did not attempt a pass in the game and averaged 17.5 yards per rush as a team.

Jack Risch, Arrowhead - Risch would be a starter and outstanding player at many places, but behind D1 senior Johnny Duranso, his opportunities are limited. With Duranso out to injury, Risch has been asked to step in and be the man. He sure was Friday night in a 41-0 blanketing of Sun Prairie, completing 19 of 26 passes for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Quinn Woelfel, Fond du Lac - A Week 9 loss to Marshfield seems to have awoken the beast that is Fond du Lac, as the team averages 363 rushing yards per game in the first two playoff games. Against Neenah, the Cardinals went for 392, including 14 carries for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns by quarterback Quinn Woelfel. He scored three times in the first half and added the first score of the second half to help put the game away.
