WisSports.net Level 2 Team of the Week Nominees:

Brookfield East - Losing stinks. Losing to your crosstown rival stinks. Losing to your crosstown rival for your only defeat of the year, preventing you from a conference title, stinks. Getting a second chance at all of that, well, that can be golden, and that's what it was for Brookfield East Friday night in a thrilling 34-31 overtime win over top-seeded Brookfield Central. It was back and forth all night, with neither team leading by more than a touchdown. In the extra period, Central kicked a field goal on its first possession, but Sam Santiago-Lloyd, who finished with 130 yards, scored from 3 yards out to give East the victory.

Coleman - It was an extremely rare occurrence, and may have never happened before. Undefeated teams meeting up in Level 2 of the high school football playoffs, as Coleman hosted Hilbert/Stockbridge. What one would have assumed would be a tight game, was no contest, as Coleman steamrolled to a 32-0 victory. The Cougars racked up 342 yards rushing, as Austin Tachick and Jacob Zeitler both eclipsed the century mark.

Edgar - The Wildcats had won at least a share of seven straight Marawood Conference titles, but a 16-8 loss to Marathon in Week 7 prevented them from extending the streak. Edgar got its shot at redemption in Level 2, and pulled away for a convincing 34-6 victory over the Red Raiders. Alec Hafferman and Wylie Frahm each had over 100 yards rushing as all five Edgar scores came on the ground.

Prairie Farm - The WIAA does not recognize a state champion in 8-Man Football as of yet, but for all intents and purposes, the final game at the 8-Man Jamboree serves as an unofficial championship game. All three seasons the event has taken place under the WIAA umbrella, Prairie Farm has met Green Bay NEW Lutheran in the day's final contest. The first year NEW Lutheran got the win, but Prairie Farm has earned victories the last two seasons, including a 46-22 win Friday night. Quinn Larson led a balanced rushing attack with 240 yards and 3 touchdowns, as the Panthers rolled up 435 rushing yards.

Shoreland Lutheran - Coming into this season, the Pacers had just one WIAA playoff victory, coming back in 2005. Shoreland has doubled that number this season, including a 21-14 win over #1 seed Cedar Grove-Belgium Friday night. A program-defining victory, Shoreland built a 21-0 halftime lead and held off a second half surge by the Rockets. Keenan Robinson had a big game, rushing 21 times for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns.
