Osceola blew open a close game over a five minute stretch in the third and fourth quarters, pulling away from Lodi for a 28-0 victory and the Division 4 state title.

Lodi had chances early to take a lead, but missed a 46-yard field goal after a long opening drive, then saw two other drives stall in Osceola territory in the second quarter, including one that had a touchdown wiped out by a holding call.

Osceola didn't do much offensively in the first half, with just 77 yards of offense. However, a 77-yard punt return by Ethan Ellingsworth set up a short Tucker Hazzard touchdown run to put the Chieftains up 7-0.

Lodi had another excellent scoring chance to start the third quarter, getting to the Osceola 14-yard line, but two penalties and two sacks led the drive to end on downs way back at the 44.

Osceola then blew the game open, scoring on its next three possessions to put the game away.
