Men's Athlete of the Week 

Jon Christensen, UW-River Falls - Sr. Forward - Elko, Minn.

Christensen had a total 64 points as the Falcons went 2-1 during the week and winning the Merrill Thompson Tip-Off Classic at UW-Superior. In a loss to Bethel University (Minn.) on Nov. 17, he had 24 points and 10 rebounds. He was 8-of-13 on  eld goals, 3-of-5 on three-pointers and 5-of-6 on free throws. Against UW-Superior on Nov. 20, Christensen had 13 points and 10 rebounds. In the championship game against University of Minnesota-Crookston, he had 27 points, 8 rebounds and was 11-of-15 on  eld goals, 3-of-5 on three-pointers and 2-of-3 on free throws.

Women's Athlete of the Week

Katie Messman, UW-River Falls - Jr., Guard - Medford, Wis. 

Messman helped the Falcons go 3-0 this past week with wins over Carleton College (Minn.), Simpson College (Iowa) and Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.). In the three games, she totaled 37 points and averaged 12.3 per contest. Messman had 13 points against Simpson on 5-of-10 shooting from the  eld. She also added four rebounds,  ve steals and one assist. On the week, Messman converted 13-of-25  eld goal attempts and grabbed 14 rebounds – 4.7 per game. The Falcons improved to 4-0 on the season with the three victories – their best start since 2011-12.
