WIAC Athletes of the Week
(Week of Dec. 14 - 20)
 
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Andre Brown, Freshman (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail), Guard of UW-Whitewater
Brown tallied career highs in points (21) and assists (8) to help the No. 20-ranked Warhawks defeat Concordia University-Chicago (Ill.) 107-84 at Kachel Gymnasium on Dec. 20. He shot 7-of-13 from the floor and 7-of-7 from the free throw line and added five rebounds and a steal in 31 minutes off the bench. Brown’s efficient performance helped UW-Whitewater shoot 63.9 percent from the field, its best shooting percentage since 2011, and post its highest scoring output since 2012.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Autumn Hennes, Junior (Kaukauna, Wis.), Guard of UW-Stevens Point
Hennes contributed across the board for UW-Stevens Point in a 68-44 win over previously-unbeaten Saint Mary's University (Minn.) on Dec. 19. She recorded 11 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 29 minutes. Her nine rebounds and three blocks were both career-highs. Hennes did most of her damage from behind the arc, shooting 3-for-6 from three-point range as the Pointers won their third consecutive game.
