Superior trailed Grand Rapids (MN) by 14 with just under 10 minutes to go, but rallied to make it a game at the end. After Grand Rapids missed a free throw with about 5 seconds left in the game, Superior had a shot to win or tie with the game, trailing 56-54. Brandon Myer grabbed the missed foul shot and raced up the court, letting go with a contested three-pointer from the right wing. His shot found the bottom of the net just as the buzzer sounded, giving the Spartans a 57-56 win. He finished with 23 points in the game.
