WIAC Athletes of the Week
(Week of Jan. 18 - 24)
 
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Boston Johnson, Senior (Oshkosh, Wis./North), Guard of UW-Platteville
Johnson led the Pioneers to two wins, as he averaged 15 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 9-of-17 from the field for the week. Johnson led the Pioneers in every major statistical category in their 72-61 victory over first-place UW-River Falls on Jan. 23, as he posted 19 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals. The Falcons entered the game unbeaten in the WIAC.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Mickey Roland, Sophomore (New London, Wis.), Guard of UW-Stevens Point
Roland averaged double-figures in scoring in a pair of wins during the week. The No. 19-ranked Pointers posted a 63-52 win over No. 18-ranked UW-River Falls and a 55-48 victory over UW-La Crosse. She combined for 30 points over the two games, including a career-high 19 points against UW-La Crosse. Roland was 5-of-8 from the field, 2-of-4 behind the arc, 7-of-9 from foul line, and grabbed seven rebounds in the win against the Eagles. For the week, Roland averaged 15 points per game on 62.5 percent (10-for-16) shooting from the field and averaged 7.5 rebounds.
