Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of February 1 through 7. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: February 1-7

​Chelsea Brackmann, New Berlin Eisenhower girls' basketball, helped the Lions end Pius XI's 45-game winning streak on Tuesday, finishing with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in their 45-42 win over the top-ranked team in Division 2. On Saturday, Brackmann totaled 21 points in New Berlin Eisenhower's overtime win against D2 No. 5 Waukesha West, 56-51. The 9th ranked Lions also defeated Greendale on Friday, Brackmann scored 9 points in their 58-36 win. 

Tarren Hall, Mauston boys' basketball, scored a career-high 46 points in their 84-78 win over River Valley on Saturday. Hall also finished with 27 points in the Golden Eagles' 65-59 win over Viroqua on Thursday. 

Liz Nies, De Pere girls' basketball, finished with a career-high 29 points in the Redbirds upset win over D2 No. 4 Pulaski, 60-59, on Friday. Nies made 11 of 13 field goal attempts and went 7-for-9 from the free throw line in the victory. 

Devon Schmitz, Richland Center boys' basketball, netted a career-high 37 points in their 79-67 win over Lancaster on Thursday. Schmitz went 13-for-15 from the free throw line and knocked down four triples to go along with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks in the victory. 

Lexi Smith, Northland Pines girls' basketball, finished with 51 points in their 97-92 overtime victory against Phillips last Monday. Her 51 points are the highest single-game output across the state this season and is tied for the 6th best single-game performance in state history.
