Hockey Honors: On track to be a three-year letterwinner on defense for coach Mike Brolsma and Appleton United, a co-op team between Appleton West, Appleton North and Appleton East ... As a senior, is an alternate captain and has helped United become one of the top-ranked teams in the state and the Badgerland Conference champion for the fourth consecutive season ... Received all-conference honorable mention and was named Badgerland Conference Scholar-Athlete ... As a junior, helped Appleton United reach the WIAA State Tournament and win the Badgerland Conference regular-season and tournament titles, in going 22-5-1 ... Favorite Sport: "Hockey, because it isn't an ordinary sport and everyone within the hockey community is easy to get along with. It's like a brotherhood."

Best Part of High School Sports: "Playing soccer under the lights at Appleton Wets's Nienhaus Field, and hearing the Appleton United student section cheer after a goal."

Best Advice from a High School Coach: " 'Keep doing what you've done to get this far. It'll all work out" -- from Appleton United assistant coach Matt Hughes.


Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "During a tournament in Rochester, Minn., our hockey team had all 20 guys in one room and when our coach came to tell us to go to bed, we bargained for 20 more minutes."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "Having something to look forward to every day, knowing every day will bring something different and doing all that with lifelong friends."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "Keeping on top of homework and wanting to sleep all weekend."

Favorite Opponent: "Kimberly soccer, because I played on the same club team as many of their players."

Favorite Professional Teams: "Juventus F.C., Green Bay Packers and any NHL team that isn't the Chicago Blackhawks or Detroit Red Wings."

Toughest Individual You've Competed Against: "Former Appleton United player Carver Watson. Although we were on the same team, he's the best player I've faced, even just in practice."

Most Admired High School Teammate: "Jack Schneider -- we played soccer and tennis together. He taught me how to be a tough yet friendly leader, made me a better player and person, and came to all of my hockey games."

College Plans: "Attend a four-year university and study communications."
