VIDEO: Mitch McFarlane's overtime game-winner lifts Winnebago Lutheran to conference title
It was all on the line as the clock ticked under 10 seconds remaining in overtime, as Winnebago Lutheran had the ball but trailed Omro 50-49. The Vikings made sure the ball was in the hands of senior leading scorer Mitch McFarlane, who kept his dribble alive while probing the defense. Finally, he found an opening from the right elbow, swishing through the game-winner just before time expired.
With the victory, Winnebago Lutheran pulled even with Omro atop the Flyway Conference standings at 10-2, as the team's share the league title.
