Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list previously was trimmed to 15 semi-finalists, and now five finalists for the award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

Senior Boys Basketball Awards -- Point Guard Finalists

Isaac Appleby, 6-2, Eau Claire Memorial -- Few players in Wisconsin elevate higher on their jump shot than Appleby, who finished among the leaders in the Big Rivers Conference in scoring (19.0 ppg), rebounding (6.5 rpg) and assists (3.0 apg) while helping the Old Abes to the league championship. A three-year varsity performer for coach Greg Van Grunsven, Appleby scored a career-high 33 points in a 70-60 victory over Menomonie and led Memorial to a 17-7 record.

Ryan Clarey, 6-1, Brookfield Academy -- A scoring lead guard who can affect the game with his shooting, his passing and with his ability to draw fouls, Clarey led the Midwest Classic Conference in both scoring (25.8 ppg) and assists (5.5 apg) while helping the Blue Knights to an unbeaten league record. He has scored 1,638 career points and went for a career-high 41 points in an 80-74 victory over Division 4 power Destiny. Clarey finished with 21 points Saturday while helping Brookfield Academy to a 59-54 regional final victory over Milwaukee Career & Tech Ed. The Whitewater recruit has helped Brookfield Academy to a 20-4 record heading into sectionals.

Te'Jon Lucas, 6-1, Milwaukee Washington -- Despite suffering a season-ending broken leg during a non-conference victory over Champaign, Ill., Central in early February, Lucas remains on this list thanks to the stellar season he turned in during the first 18 games of the season. The University of Illinois recruit averaged 20.5 ppg, 8.1 apg and 5.4 rpg while helping the Purgolders to a 14-4 record. Washington is playing well in Lucas' absence, but the floor general is still a big component of the team and program with his vocal support and encouragement. Lucas shared Player of the Year honors in the Milwaukee City Conference with Milwaukee Riverside junior Terrence Lewis.

Juwan McCloud, 6-0, Germantown -- A probing lead guard who dissects defenses with his quickness, his hesitation dribble and his accurate passing, McCloud scored a career-high 40 points on Saturday to lead Germantown past De Pere in a Division 1 regional final. He led the Warhawks to another North Shore Conference title by averaging 24.0 ppg for coach Mark Adams. He has scored 1,122 points in his three-year varsity career for the Warhawks. The Northern Iowa recruit has helped Germantown to a 20-4 record heading into sectionals.

Caleb Wagner, 6-2, Muskego -- The best player for a Muskego program that has won 41 of 47 games and a pair of Classic Eight Conference titles the past two seasons, Wagner was terrific this past weekend, scoring 26 in a regional semifinal victory over Beloit Memorial and 25 in a tense regional final triumph over a very talented Madison East squad. Wagner led the Classic Eight in both scoring (22.6 ppg) and assists (4.1 apg) while shooting 48 percent from the field, 67 percent from the free throw line and 39 percent (49 of 127) from three-point range. Wagner has helped Muskego to a 20-4 record heading into sectionals.
