Mukwonago's Morgan Glatczak has been selected as the top senior Defensive player as part of the WSN Girls Basketball Awards

Glatczak is a force inside, especially on defense with her ability to block or alter shots and rebound, which helps limit second chance opportunities for her opponents. The 6-foot-5 forward will continue her basketball career at Ball State.

She is averaging 13 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.8 blocks per game for coach Rick Kolinske and the Indians.

Glatczak holds the school record for blocks in a season, she had 141 blocks entering sectional play. Morgan set the previous school-record as a junior when she blocked 104 shots.

She was named First Team All-Classic Eight as a junior, all-conference has not been announced this season.

Mukwonago plays Oak Creek in a Division 1 state semi-final on Friday evening at the Resch Center.

Finalists for the award were Glatczak, Olivia Campbell of Notre Dame, Jada Dayne of Waunakee, Anna Dier of Algoma, and Jessica Schultz of Mineral Point.

Past winners of the award include Taylor Higginbotham of Germantown (2015), Jen Wellnitz of Black Hawk (2014), Emily Gustafson of South Shore (2013), and Alexis Lindstrom of Howards Grove (2012).
