Waukesha West's Dani Rhodes selected as the top senior Shooter

Waukesha West's Dani Rhodes has been selected as the top senior Shooter as part of the WSN Girls Basketball Awards

Rhodes is a quick guard that has extended range, making her a tough match-up for opposing teams. 

The 5-foot-5 guard averaged 21.1 points per game with 64 three-pointers while shooting 35 percent from behind the arc for coach Mark Busalacchi and the Wolverines. 

Rhodes scored 20 or more points in 15 of of their 24 games this season and made three or more three-points in 13 games. 

She also contributed 4 assists, 4 steals an nearly 5 rebounds per game for the Wolverines who finished the season with a 17-7 record. 

Rhodes holds school records for career points (1,609), single-season points (507), single-game points (37), career steals (303), career steals (212) and single-season steals (88). 

Dani was named WBCA All-State as a junior and is a two-time First Team All-Classic Eight choice. All-Conference and WBCA All-State have not been announced yet this season. 

She also excels at soccer and is signed to play at Wisconsin. 

Finalists for the award were Rhodes, Madie Kaelber of Kenosha Indian Trail, Taylor Klug of Sussex Hamilton, Jessi Marti of Cuba City, Kylie Moe of Brodhead and Taylor Schneider of Turtle Lake. 

Past winners of the award include Natisha Hiedeman of Green Bay Southwest (2015), Lydia Rohde of Brookfield Central (2014), Rachel Atchison of East Troy (2013), and Taylor Varsho of Marshfield (2012).
