Stoughton held off a late push by Onalaska to win 59-56 and advance to the Division 2 state championship game.
Stoughton led 52-43 with 1:31 left before Onalaska went on a 13-5 run with junior Tayla Stuttley hitting a three to get the Hilltoppers within one at 57-56.
Stoughton junior Kendra Halverson hit a pair of free throws to give the Vikings a 59-56 lead with 5 seconds to go.
Stuttley's three-pointer at the buzzer was blocked by senior Hannah Hobson.
The Vikings overcame 16 turnovers by hitting 22 of their 29 free throw attempts.
Hobson, a Michigan Tech recruit, led Stoughton with 16 points and added 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Halverson finished with 14 points and knocked down 8 of her 11 free throw attempts, while also grabbed 7 rebounds.
Junior Payton Kahl also scored in double figures for the Vikings, scoring 12 points and added 3 assists and 3 steals. Fellow junior Marissa Robson battled foul trouble but finished with 8 points and 6 rebounds in the win.
Onalaska was led by junior Tayla Stuttley and she had a terrific night, finishing with a game-high 30 points on 8 of 15 shooting from the field and 12 of 14 from the free throw line.
Stoughton will play New Berlin Eisenhower in the Division 2 state championship game on Saturday at 6:35 p.m. This is the Vikings first ever appearance in the state title game.
New Berlin Eisenhower defeated Notre Dame 55-45 in overtime to advance to the Division 2 state title game.
The back-and-fourth game was tied at 20 at halftime and Kasie Erenyi hit a pair of free throws for New Berlin Eisenhower to tie the game at 43 with 20 seconds left in the second half.
Notre Dame had a chance to end it in regulation but Katelyn Morgan's three-pointer before buzzer was blocked by Katie Ludwig to force overtime.
Julia Hintz hit a three-pointer at the 3:38 mark in overtime to give the Lions a 46-43 lead. Notre Dame turned it over and their first possession and Eisenhower ran off nearly 2 minutes on their next possession before Ludwig hit a pair of free throws to give the Lions a 48-43 lead with 1:24 to play in overtime.
Chelsea Brackmann put the game away by hitting four-straight free throws for the Lions and give them a 52-43 lead with 49 seconds left.
Brackmann, a Bradley recruit, finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists for Eisenhower.
Erenyi also reached double-figures for the Lions, scoring 11 points in the win.
UW-Oshkosh recruit Olivia Campbell finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Notre Dame in the loss.
New Berlin Eisenhower will play Stoughton in the Division 2 state championship game on Saturday at 6:35 p.m. The Lions are looking for their second state title in program history, they won the Division 2 title in 2010.
Attendance for the Friday afternoon Division 2 session was 6,052.
