Keaton Stremick of Waukesha South wins 2016 WIAA Boys 3-Point Challenge

Junior Keaton Stremick of Waukesha South won the 2016 WIAA Boys 3-Point Challenge at the Kohl Center in Madison on Saturday morning.

10 participants were selected for the event based on stats information entered by coaches into the WisSports.net database. The top two three-point shooters (minimum 75 attempts) from each division were chosen to participate.

It was an incredible display by the participants, including Stremick, who hit 17 in the first round, 21 in the semi-finals, and 19 in the finals. He defeated both Adam Cherek of Iola-Scandinavia (18) and Henry Noone of Lourdes Academy (18) in the finals. Cherek set a new 3-Point Challenge record with 24 points in the semi-finals. The other semi-finalist was Cedarburg's Jordan Johnson.

Other competitors included Quinn Cushman of Belmont, Luke Reader of Bangor, Terrrence Lewis of Milwaukee Riverside, Ethan Anderson of Black River Falls, Cody Birr of Pulaski, and Carter Voelker of Kiel.
