WFSCA/WisSports.net Softball Coaches Poll - Week of April 18

Division 1

Union Grove takes over the top spot in the WFSCA/WisSports.net Coaches Poll after defeating Westosha Central, last week's No. 1, 6-1. The Broncos also beat Kenosha Bradford 10-0 last week. Westosha Central bounced back with four wins after falling to Union Grove on Thursday, including wins over No. 4 Stevens Point, No. 5 Greenfield and No. 3 Kaukauna. Janesville Craig (#9) and Chippewa Falls (#10) are new to the top ten this week, while Germantown and Hortonville drop out of the top ten and into the honorable mention list. 

Division 2

La Crosse Logan remains the top-ranked team in the Division 2 coaches poll despite dropping a pair of games to out-of-state teams over the weekend. Delavan-Darien moves up three spots to No. 4 this week. New Berlin West joins the top 10 this week. Bloomer and Rhinelander are listed among the honorable mention teams. 

Division 3

Laconia stays atop the the Division 3 coaches poll. Weyauwega-Fremont, Grantsburg, Lakeside Lutheran and Pacelli round out the top five. Poynette and Iola-Scandinavia each dropped a pair of games and drop to seventh and eighth, respectively. Joining the top ten this week are Mineral Point and Horicon, while Marshall and Shiocton join the honorable mention listing. 

Division 4

Top-ranked Thorp picked up two wins against Poynette on Saturday and defeated Gilman on Monday. Athens moves up to the No. 2 spot in the coaches poll. Oakfield saw their 119-game Trailways winning streak end at the hands of Markesan and the Oaks' drop one spot to No. 3 this week. Juda/Albany and Belmont round of the top five. Wisconsin Heights moves up three spots to No. 7 and Southwestern joins the rankings at No. 10.
