WFSCA/WisSports.net Softball Coaches Poll - Week of April 25

Division 1

Top-ranked and undefeated Union Grove travels to D2 No. 2 Delavan-Darien tonight in a Southern Lakes contest. Oshkosh North moved up three spots to No. 3 this week after defeating Kaukauna, 2-1, last Thursday. Hortonville made a big jump in the rankings, going from the honorable mention listing to No. 5 after posting five wins, including against Kimberly and Stevens Point. Appleton East, Bay Port and Pulaski join the honorable mention listing. 

Division 2

La Crosse Logan remains the top-ranked team in the WFSCA/WisSports.net Coaches Poll this week. Delavan-Darien grabs the No. 2 spot, but did suffer their first loss of the season last night against D2 No. 2 Westosha Centeral. The Comets have another tough one tonight when they face top-ranked Union Grove. Luxemburg-Casco dropped their first game of the season on Friday night against Freedom, 4-3, and fall three spots to No. 5. McFarland suffered a pair of losses last week and drop five spots to No. 8 this week, while Beloit Turner moves up from the honorable mention listing to No. 9. Grafton and Rice Lake are listed in honorable mention after not being in the rankings last week. 

Division 3

The top three of the Division 3 coaches poll are the same as last week with Laconia leading the way, followed by Weyauwega-Fremont and Grantsburg. Shiocton and Marshall move into the top ten after being honorable mention last week, while Lomira jumps to No. 9 after not being a part of the rankings a week ago. Lourdes Academy and Mishicot join the honorable mention list, while Lakeside Luther drops out of the top 10 and into honorable mention. 

Division 4

Top-ranked Thorp picked up three wins last week to move to 9-0 on the season. Juda/Albany moved up to No. 2 this week despite dropping a pair of contests to quality opponents in Monroe and Delavan-Darien. Cochrane-Fountain City made a big jump in the rankings, moving from honorable mention to No. 5, the Pirates outscored the opponents 70-4 in four games last week. Oakfield went in the other direction, dropping seven spots to No. 10 after dropping their second-straight Trailways-North contest. Gilman drops out of the top ten and into the honorable mention listing, while Williams Bay joins the honorable mention list after not being in the rankings last week.
