Favorite Sport (and why): "Basketball, because I love every part of the game and in all honesty I hate leaving the gym. Many nights my coach would have to kick me out because it would be late, but I always found myself wanting to stay longer doing drills or just shooting around. I have now concluded I am just a 'Gym Rat' because it is hard for me to walk into a gym and not pick up a ball. Basketball has been something that has kept me motivated to reach my goals and is simply relaxing to me when I am stressed. It has changed my life in numerous ways and always will hold a special place in my heart for as long as I live."

Best Part of High School Sports: "The best part of high school sports is the relationships you build with your teammates, who end up becoming your best friends. It is all about making memories together that you will remember for the rest of your life, such as the big wins, late night runs to Buffalo Wild Wings together, summer league games, or heartfelt talks with each other on long bus rides home. That truly has been the best part because you develop a connection with one another by training together, winning together, and losing together, but no matter how good or bad times get you can always count on those people having your back!"

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "The best advice from a high school coach I have received would be from my track coach, Greg Streit. He really inspired and motivated me during my athletic career to strive for success and to always compete at a higher level than I thought I was capable of. He believed in me and I always remember at long, dreading practices listening to his talks about champions being made, not born. He would always say, “What are you doing to better yourself as an individual and competitor while others are sleeping or taking a day off. Right now you are outworking them and putting in the time by working your butt off right now. You are being dedicated and becoming mentally stronger. So HBDYWI? (How Bad Do You Want It?) to you want your face in that trophy case and more importantly, to reach your goals.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "The most memorable moment in high school sports would be scoring my 1,000th point in basketball and clinching the Marawood North Conference title in basketball. These two moments will always be special to me because we made history in our small town of Edgar. We were only the second team in Edgar’s basketball history to clinch a conference championship, and the first team to ever to win it outright, which was a great feeling to know that all the hard work in the gym paid off! It was also rewarding hitting a basketball career milestone and scoring my 1,000th point because I always dreamed about that feeling after witnessing Holly Denfeld do it my Freshman year. I wanted to do the same and am currently only the second girl at Edgar to ever do that, which is exciting because I wanted to prove to everyone that even if someone tells you that is impossible...you can set your mind to it and achieve it."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "The best part of playing three sports would be learning how to develop a tireless work ethic and having the opportunity to be a talented, well-rounded individual. From participating in many different sports I have become a better athlete and person because I have formed different qualities and learned different lessons from each sporting activity. I have learned the importance of being apart of a team, and then setting goals and working towards them together with the positive mindset of accomplishing them. Being a three-sport athlete is not only a neatest experience, but a very rewarding one because even though it may be challenging at times balancing everything it is definitely worth every minute. It is also such an amazing opportunity to be part of a school and community who supports everyone and takes pride in its athletic teams."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "The toughest part of playing three sports would be balancing academics, family, community involvement, and athletics all at the same time, but from doing it all 4 years I have realized I wouldn’t of wanted it any other way. It made me who I am today and has helped me be a better person with a never give up mentality."

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: "Gena Grundhoffer, because I played AAU with her on Team Wisconsin-Select Black and she is a phenomenal athlete and person. She is such strong player fundamentally and understands the game better than anyone I know. From playing with her, we have developed a strong relationship with one another, so it is always fun to catch up and battle against each other because truly she has made me a better player!"

Most Admired High School Teammate: "My most admired high school teammate would definitely be Holly Denfeld because she was my biggest inspiration and role model in life, who is still one of my best friends today. She helped me realize that hard work pays off in the end and to never give up on your goals! I am so thankful to have someone like her in my life, and still today we share our competitive edge and love for basketball in a friendly 1 on 1 pick up game in the gym!"

College Plans: "Next fall, I plan on playing basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and majoring in Nursing Pre-Medicine. After graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree and taking my Medical School requirements, I intend to further my education and become a Family Physician."
