Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of June 6 through 12. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: June 6-12

Joey Clary, Ithaca baseball: Clary hit a 2-run walk-off home run to propel the Bulldogs past Hillsboro 8-7 in a Division 4 sectional final and third straight trip to the state tournament. Joey went 3-for-5 in the victory and added 3 RBI. In Ithaca's 7-5 win over Highland in a sectional semi-final, Clary finished with a hit and 3 RBI. 

Caleb Schoenholz, Green Bay Preble baseball: Schoenholz pitched a no-hitter in a Division 1 sectional final against Green Bay East/West, 6-0, and send the Hornets to the state tournament for the first time since 2002. 

Kayla Schwebke, Laconia softball: Schwebke led the Spartans to their second consecutive Division 3 state title. She pitched a perfect game in their 9-0 win over Mishicot, only the second perfect game in state tournament history. Kayla totaled 11 strikeouts in the victory. In Laconia's 3-2 win over Grantsburg, she tallied 9 strikeouts. 

Cheyenne Sowinski, New Berlin West softball: Sowinski led the Vikings to the Division 2 state championship, their first state title. She tallied 4 strikeouts and allowed just 1 run in their 2-1 win over Delavan-Darien in the state title game. Cheyenne also went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in a run. In their 4-3 state semi-final win over New London, Sowinski picked up the victory with 8 strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate. 

Taylor Stroinski, Thorp softball: Stroinski helped the Cardinals capture their first-ever state championship. She went 3-for-4 with 3 stolen bases and 2 runs scored in their 9-2 win over Southwestern in the Division 4 state title game. Taylor also went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI in Thorp's 10-0 victory against Oakfield in a state semi-final.
