WFSCA announces 2016 Softball Players of the Year and All-State

The Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association has announced it's All-State and award information for the 2016 season.

Junior pitcher Aubrey Drohner of Stevens Point and junior pitcher Elle Jensen of Watertown were named co-Division 1 Players of the Year. In Division 2, senior pitcher Jennah Spaeth of Delvan-Darien took home Player of the Year honors. After leading Laconia to an unbeaten season and second consecutive state title, junior pitcher Kayla Schwebke earned Division 3 Player of the Year recognition. Senior pitcher Lizzy Schimke of Thorp took home Division 4 Player of the Year honors after a Third Team All-State season and state title.

After guiding Thorp to the D4 state title and 29-2 overall record, Brad Ceranski was named the state's Coach of the Year. James Basinger was selected as the Umpire of the Year.
