WisSports.net Week 4 Player of the Week Nominees:

Ben Dunkleberger, Lake Mills -- It was quite the shootout between Nekoosa and Lake Mills on Friday, as both teams put up more than 500 yards of offense. Lake Mills quarterback Ben Dunkleberger completed 27 of 40 passes for 424 yards and 6 touchdowns in the game, as the L-Cats squeaked out a 55-51 win. He also added 81 yards for 2 more scores on the ground. Lake Mills was down 51-48 with 1:09 remaining in the game when the team took over at it's own 35-yard line. Dunkleberger led the L-Cats to the game-winning score, connecting with Hayden Iverson to send Lake Mills home victorious.

Cole Hoffmann, Stratford -- The offenses struggled to get any traction in the small-school showdown between Edgar and Stratford on Friday, as neither team went over 200 yards for the game. It was a Hoffmann fumble that led to Edgar's first (and only) points, but he kept his head up and on his very next carry, went 74 yards for a touchdown, as the ensuing extra point proved to be the game-winner in Stratford's 7-6 victory. Hoffmann was also huge in the field position game, punting four times for 172 yards, with three of the punts down inside the Edgar 10-yard line, and the other inside the 20. He also recorded one of the team's four interceptions on defense.

Tyler Kienbaum, Kiel -- It's hard to overstate the impact that Kienbaum had on Kiel's thrilling 31-25 win over New Holstein on Friday night. The 5-11, 150-pound junior rushed 29 times for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns, but his impact went well beyond that. He returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a 91-yard touchdown, but his special teams heroics were just getting started. With the game tied at 25, New Holstein lined up for a go-ahead field goal with 50 seconds remaining. However, Kienbaum blocked the attempt, giving the Raiders the ball at their own 20. On the very next play, he took a handoff 80-yards for the game-winning score.

Hayden Neidert, Waupaca -- The Comets were scoreless with Xavier at halftime on Friday, but the Hawks would go up 14-0 late in the third period. Neidert would engineer a 14-play, 94-yard drive to get Waupaca on the board, going in from 29-yards out for a touchdown. After a Waupaca safety pulled them within 14-9, Waupaca found itself facing a 4th and 2 from the Xavier 10 with less than a minute left. Neidert converted a first down to the 2-yard line, going in for a touchdown on the following play. He finished with 62 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, adding 108 yards through the air as the Comets remained undefeated.

Charlie Schabo, Hortonville -- Schabo was not only outstanding, but cool under pressure as the Polar Bears pulled out an exciting 36-35 win over previously undefeated Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday. Rapids led 21-7 at halftime, but Hortonville came back to tie it at 28 midway through the fourth. Wisconsin Rapids scored with 58 seconds remaining to go up 35-28, but Schabo engineered a drive that was capped by a 15-yard touchdown strike to Chandler Guyette with 17 seconds remaining. The Polar Bears went for two and the win, converting on a Jake Buhler run. Schabo finished the game 21 of 31 passing for 265 yards and 4 touchdowns, 3 of them coming after halftime.
