U.S. Army Week 4 Team of the Week Nominees:

Little Chute -- The Mustangs have battled Freedom at the top of the North Eastern and Eastern Valley Conferences the last few years, but got an early leg up on the race this season with a 38-13 victory over Freedom on Friday, winning the Highway N Trophy game. Thanks to three first half touchdown passes by Devin Plate, Little Chute led 24-7 at halftime, pulling away for the win.

Madison Memorial -- It may be overstating it a bit that one play in Week 4 can be a season-saver, but if it ever applied, it would be Memorial's stuffed two-point conversion of Madison La Follette that allowed the Spartans to hold on for a 21-20 victory, their first of the season. Expected to compete towards the top of the Big Eight, a 0-3 start left the Spartans in a precarious position. Memorial went up 21-14 early in the fourth quarter, but La Follette scored with 20 seconds left in the game. Playing at home, the Lancers chose to go for the victory, but an Elias Sobah rush attempt up the middle was stopped, preserving the win for Memorial.

Monroe -- The Cheesemakers were once one of the top programs in the state, with five state titles and three runner-up finishes from 1986 to 1996. The program has just one playoff appearance (2012) since the 2003 season however, but were 3-0 heading into a huge Badger-South showdown with Monona Grove. It was a low-scoring affair, but Monroe held on for a 10-7 win, putting them in good position to get back to the playoffs. Running back Isaac Allen has 105 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while Dempzy Foley booted a 31-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Sparta -- The Spartans are looking for their first playoff trip since 2005, and still in search of the program's first postseason victory ever, which makes Friday's 18-13 win over Mississippi Valley Conference heavyweight La Crosse Logan one of the top wins in school history. It was back-and-forth all game, with Sparta answering a Logan touchdown with one of its own midway through the third quarter in what proved to be the game-winner. Ryan Wisniewski threw a pair of touchdowns in the win, while Brett Von Ruden blocked a punt that was recovered by Travis Goede, who went 22 yards for a second quarter score.

Wausau West -- Wausau West found itself down 7-0 in the first quarter to Division 1 second-ranked Appleton North, but there was no quit in the club, who got a pair of second-quarter field goals from Michael Neumeller to keep it close at halftime. Trevor Cunningham threw a pair of second-half touchdowns to put the Warriors up 20-10 and they held on for a 20-17 victory.
