Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of September 5 through 11. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: September 5-11

Maddy Ahrens, Appleton North girls volleyball: Ahrens finished with 119 assists to help the Lightning to the Brookfield Central Lancer Invite on Saturday. Appleton North defeated Menomonee Falls in the championship match; 25-17, 25-13. 

Jake Benzing, Delavan-Darien football: Benzing led the Comets to a 51-20 victory over Union Grove on Friday. He went 14-for-22 passing for 252 yards and 6 touchdowns and carried the ball 11 times for 126 yards. 

Jaydon Haag, Sparta boys soccer: Haag scored 4 goals in the Spartans 11-1 win against La Crosse Central on Thursday. 

Luke Meihack, Winnebago Lutheran boys soccer: Meihack scored 5 goals and added 3 assists in three wins last week. He scored 2 goals in their 6-3 win over West Bend West, 2 goals in a 6-1 victory against Sheboygan South and 1 goal and 2 assists in the Vikings 9-1 win over Omro. 

Liam Schroeder, Marquette boys volleyball: Schroeder led the Hilltoppers win the New Berlin Invitational on Saturday, finishing with a team-high 35 kills. Marquette defeated four teams ranked in the top 10, including No. 3 Germantown, 25-21, 25-11, in the championship match of the 16-team invite.
